Technical equipment distributor
Six data sources with nothing in common and three different versions of the same service metric.
The challenge
Every department defended its own service-level figure and none of them matched
The solution
Six sources brought together in one place and a shared metric dictionary
How we did it
Orders, warehouse, transport, purchasing, after-sales and customer service lived in six systems that shared neither customer nor product codes. We started by reconciling those two identifiers, which is what makes it possible to follow an order end to end. We then scheduled the loads for each source at the frequency the business actually needs, with checks that hold back publication when a piece is missing. On the unified base we wrote the metric dictionary: one sheet per metric with the formula, the source and the person accountable for it, starting with the service level that used to have three readings. Weekly meetings stopped opening with fifteen minutes of argument about which figure was the right one.
Results
Project timeline

Testimonial
“We asked for six integrations and they came back with a question: which metric do you want to agree on first. We started there.”
